This support solution will walk you through how to connect to a remote support session with a Law School IT Department help desk representative. The remote support session will allow the representative to gain control of your computer to further troubleshoot any issues you may be experiencing.
Step 1: If you are not already on the line with a Law School IT help desk representative call 336-758-4300
Step 2: Go to http://technology.law.wfu.edu/
Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the "Remote Access" window on the right-hand side
Step 4: The Law School IT help desk representative will provide you a 6 digit code, enter that into the window and click the "Connect" button
Step 5: A "Support-LogMeIn" application will download, click the download in the bottom left corner to launch the application
Step 6: Now wait for the help desk representative to initiate the connection
Step 7: When they connect the following message will appear "Windows Firewall has blocked some features of this app" click the X in the upper right corner of the window to close it.
Step 8: Wait again for the help desk representative
Step 9: The next message will be "User Account Control (UAC) is enabled on this PC. Please click OK to allow Rescue to elevate your session" click OK to continue
Step 10: The next message you will see asks "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" click "Yes" to continue
Step 11: The final message you will receive will state that the help desk representative "would like to perform one or more actions on this computer........" click OK to continue
Step 12: You are now connected to the help desk representative and they can control your computer to further troubleshoot any issues you should be experiencing
